Harry G. Schiavi, President and CEO

Harry Schiavi

Harry Schiavi has spent his entire 26+ year professional career in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device industry. He cofounded Insight Strategy Advisors (ISA) over 14 years ago and is the President and CEO.  The purpose of ISA is to provide consulting and commercial development advisory services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry with a particular emphasis on Market Access, Pricing, and Reimbursement.  He has advised dozens of companies across the industry spectrum including 17 of the top 34 pharmaceutical companies in the world.  Harry’s particular emphasis is in evaluating market access and reimbursement risks associated with products as well as the intricacies and complexities of Market Access Contracting and Negotiation.

Prior to founding ISA Harry held multiple positions across market access functions including sales, account management, and market access marketing for Merck Sharp and Dohme and Astra Merck.

Harry holds a Bachelor of Arts from Davidson College in North Carolina.


Stephen Reid, Managing Director

Steve ReidSteve Reid is Managing Director and Co-Founder of Insight Strategy Advisors. He has spent the last 20+ years in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry working in product commercialization, opportunity identification, commercial strategy development, and market planning. He has held marketing leadership roles within several therapeutic areas including asthma, gastrointestinal disease, and solid organ transplantation.

Immediately prior to founding Insight Strategy Advisors, Steve was a Vice President at True North Partners. Before that, he was a product manager with responsibility for respiratory products at Rhone-Poulenc Rorer, a senior product manager at Astra Merck for the Prilosec franchise, and a marketing leader for the biotech firm Sangstat.

Steve holds an MBA from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Mary’s College in California.


Naina Ahmad, Senior Vice President

Naina AhmadNaina Shehzeen Ahmad is a Senior Vice President with Insight Strategy Advisors.  She has over 12 years of experience in biological and biomedical science and research – with the latter half of her experience focused exclusively on the marketing, business development and strategy aspects of Life Sciences assets for pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices and molecular diagnostics innovators. As a Life Sciences strategy consultant, Naina has led global research engagements for clients from among the top 30 pharmaceutical companies, top 5 biotech companies, top 15 medical device companies and key players in the molecular diagnostics space.

Naina’s consulting expertise covers the entire product life cycle and includes managed care strategy, global market access optimization, pricing and contracting strategies, both traditional and innovative, and international healthcare policy.  She has led multi-disciplinary global teams in engagements spanning the US, EU-15, Japan, Canada, Australia, and emerging markets of Asia (Korea, China, Taiwan, India, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia), Latin America (Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia) as well as the Middle East/North Africa region (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Israel).

Naina graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with S.B degrees in Biology and Chemical Engineering, and from Harvard Medical School’s Division of Medical Science with an A.M in Biological and Biomedical Sciences.


Jay Jauregui, Vice President

Jay JaureguiJay Jauregui is a Vice President with Insight Strategy Advisors.  He has over 15 years of management consulting experience with a particular emphasis in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and consumer products.

Jay has managed over 100+ biotechnology and pharmaceutical engagements including the development of market access strategy, reimbursement strategy, payer value propositions, and pricing and contracting strategies for small molecules and biologics. In addition, Jay has managed the development of reimbursement, access, and specialty distribution strategies for new biologics and orphan products.  His engagements have covered a wide range of therapeutic areas and drug classes including specialty, orphan, oncology and traditional products at various product life cycle stages (pre-launch, at-launch, in-line, pre and post LOE).

Before joining ISA, Jay held positions such as, Vice President for Campbell Alliance’s Pricing & Market Access Group, manager for the Kerdan Group (a boutique life sciences strategy firm) and senior consultant with BearingPoint, formerly KPMG Consulting, where he worked in the Consumer, Industrial and Technology Group. He also worked as a financial analyst with Nomura Securities and the New York Stock Exchange.

Jay has an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and a B.S. from Boston University.


Christian Bennett, Vice President

ChristianChristian Bennett is a Vice President at Insight Strategy Advisors.  He has over 15 years of experience advising pharmaceutical manufacturers and other healthcare-focused companies on payer- and market access-related challenges.

Christian’s work has focused on Commercial Effectiveness, Market Access, and Commercial Strategy.  He is experienced in shaping and implementing custom go-to-market and productivity solutions, including new sales strategies and processes, effectiveness diagnostics and improvement tools, as well as developing strategies and tactics to improve overall access with organized customers (Payers and Hospital Systems). Recent work has included developing a portfolio payer contracting strategy for two top-tier CV Met assets, creating a Payer Local Market Strategy for a leading type-2 diabetes product, and   designing and implementing a value-based selling model for a payer-focused Key Account Manager team.

Prior to joining ISA Christian was a Director of the Commercial Effectiveness Practice at Campbell Alliance (inVentiv Health), a Business Consulting Manager with the Healthcare Marketing & Sales Effectiveness Practices at ZS Associates, and a Senior Director of Healthcare Marketing Research at Genactis, Inc.

Christian has a MBA in Finance from Gannon University and B.S. in Labor Studies and Industrial Relations from Penn State University.


Brett DiNatale, Ph.D., Director, Data Analytics Group
BrettBrett DiNatale is the Director of ISA’s Data Analytics Group.  His work at ISA is both inward and outward facing as he leads internal processes for data management and development of analytics to address client questions. Brett has over 15 years of experience analyzing healthcare data to quantify and model market dynamics.

Brett’s focus is on utilizing the diverse range of data available to address clients’ business questions and to optimize their strategies. His work spans reimbursement data, transactional claims data, longitudinal patient and EMR data, as well as a range of financial, clinical and field-focused sources. By leveraging the big data available in the world of healthcare, Brett leads the analytic portion of engagements to streamline data throughput and develop analytic evidence, build decision support platforms and quantify predicted market movements.

Before joining ISA, Brett was an Engagement Manager in a management consulting firm focused on market access for the pharmaceutical industry and has held roles in global market research, forecasting, and analytical product development and management.

Brett received his PhD in Molecular Medicine from Penn State University and B.S. in Biochemistry from Boston College.
