FAQs

  • What is ISA looking for in its applicants?
    • While there is no checklist for educational, professional background or experience in market access, successful applicants have a track record of achievement and success, a strong analytical background, and a demonstrated passion for healthcare. Those who succeed at ISA are those who push themselves to a higher standard.
    • Educational backgrounds include bachelors, masters, or PhDs in life sciences, public health, economics, and business. Professional backgrounds include scientific research, analytics, finance, consulting, and pharmaceutical marketing.  Outside of academic and professional success, ISA employees are well-rounded, self-driven, humble, and are always looking to grow themselves and those around them.
  • What is the interview process?
    • The interview process typically consists of two rounds of phone or skype interviews followed by an extensive in-office final round. Frequently, a short “homework” assignment will be provided between the two phone interview rounds.  Interviews consist of both case and fit questions.
  • Where are the ISA offices located?
    • ISA is headquartered in New York City, with additional offices in West Chester, PA and Geneva, CH. The majority of the staff is based out of the New York office.
  • How frequently will I have to travel?
    • The need for travel varies from project to project. Travel is dictated by client needs and agreed upon project scope.  We typically conduct the majority of our work from our New York offices while often traveling to the client site for kickoffs, work sessions, interim meetings and final presentations.
  • How do promotions work?
    • There is no set time to promotion and this is by design. Promotions are merit-based and occur when an employee has demonstrated their ability to consistently and successfully perform at the next level.  ISA’s emphasis on training and mentoring provides opportunities for employees to grow at their own pace and be rewarded when appropriate.
